Preventing Receding Gums And Stopping Its Progression To Periodontitis

One of the common dental health condition that is describe by persistent bleeding, swelling and reddening of gums known as receding gums which affects a lot of individuals. It is one of the early signs and symptoms of Periodontitis which is a more serious gum disease. If left untreated it may lead to tooth loss and other medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, and respiratory diseases and for premature or underweight babies can be experience also by pregnant women.

As an early symptom of gum disease, receding gums can be prevented. Preventing and treating receding gums is not only achieving relief and discomfort from pain it brings but also achieving a healthy gums and teeth. Remember that the gums support the teeth and having receding gums may lead to sensitive tooth or worse is tooth loss.

It is very important to pay close attention to your oral health hygiene, brush and floss daily for it will prevent bacteria to build up.
